Position: Music Therapist/Program Assistant

Population: primarily children and adults with disabilities in community-based settings

Position: This position will incorporate both direct service and administrative duties. Duties will include providing 1:1 and group music therapy services; maintaining a variety of databases; interacting professionally with donors, volunteers, participants; assisting with grant writing and fund development efforts; and assisting with special events as needed.

Qualifications: MT-BC, recent graduates okay. In addition to possessing music therapy skills, successful application must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and be proficient in MS Office. Must be able to work independently as needed. Preference will be given
to candidates with experience in one or more of the following: nonprofit organizations, working with people with disabilities, website development, database management, grant writing, fundraising, volunteer recruitment.

Salary: DOE; This is currently a 20/hr a week position that has the potential to become full-time.

Job Title:    Internship Director

Hours:        Full-time

Salary:       Based upon experience with benefits.

Qualifications: Must be a board-certified music therapist with minimum 2.5 years experience; prefer clinical supervision experience and bi-lingual (Spanish).

Populations:   children and adults with disabilities through our music therapy community-based clinic on and off-site throughout Clark County.

Starting date:  Summer 2008

Description of position: Internship Director is responsible for the oversight and supervision of interns, music therapist, and trained musicians, as well as providing direct services utilizing music therapy, for individuals with mental illness, developmental and physical disabilities for 1:1 and groups.  The right candidate will also have knowledge in advocacy, case management, development and coordination of clinical and behavioral interventions, and staff management. Other duties include collaboration with outside agencies with communication and interfacing of clients and programs; fundraising; etc.
